Official Rules Haiti Race 2010

   L 'asd Chiarcosso, under the aegis dell'UDACE-Csain, is going to organize the 18th edition of Haiti Race, in Feletto Umberto (UD) on Sunday May 2rd 2010,. The event is a part of the Italian Granfondo and Mediofondo Udace championship.

 PARTICIPATION: The event is open to all UDACE’s, FCI’s or “council company”’s members, of both sexes, in possession of medical certification for athletics sport and foreigner bikers in possession of the card, issued by the federation of belonging, for the year 2010. Participation is allowed with any type of cycling (racing bike, mountain bike). Debuttanti Udace (athletics) and Cicloturisti could race only in the short path (Mediofondo).  For only UDACE’s bikers the race card is valid as proof of the Italian Granfondo and Mediofondo Udace Championship. For bikers who partecipate at the Combinate 2009 (Haiti Marathon Bike Race + Haiti Granfondo and Mediofondo) this race will be valid as final contest .  The Organizing Committee has the option not to accept unwelcome subscriptions.

 CATEGORIES: admitted to race categories established by Regulation UDACE namely:

 PATHS: Haiti Race provides 2 paths defined short path (Mediofondo) and Long path (Granfondo). Each biker (excluded debuttanti, cadets and cicloturisti) could choose the path that they are comfortable with and that choice may be taken in every moment of the race until the separation point of the two paths.

REGISTRATION:  is open from 1 January 2010.  It could be made:

b) b)       or by filling out the registration form clearly (please write in capital letters and complete all parts of the form) and paying the amount in one of the following ways:

1) Payment on postal account No 11034592 registered on asd Chiarcosso - Piazza della Chiesa, 4 to 33037 PASSONS (UD) only for Italian resident bikers.

 2) Payment on bank tranfer, bank charges paid by the originator, on IBAN code: IT 78 L 8715 63710 000000138784 (for foreign transfers SWIFT code: ICCRAITRRJV0 registered on asd Chiarcosso c / o BANK OF UDINE - Credito Cooperativo Phil. Bressa of Campoformido (UD).

Then biker has to send a copy of payment, registration form and photocopy of member card by fax to: asd Chiarcosso Fax +39 0432 699 706 - Registration without payment will NOT be accepted.

I The registration form can be downloaded directly from the site www.corsaperhaiti.com. For its compilation maximum clarity and attention in exposure of data is requested. The original member card is however requested upon withdrawal numbers security for verification by the judges. The sign of the registration form give the authorization to the organizer or his delegate to gather information also concerning sensitive data from the competent authorities if necessary. These data will be used exclusively to informe relatives in case of accident.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Sunday 02 May 2010.

REGISTRATION FEES:  

          > € 27,oo    to 25/04

          > € 33,oo   from 26/04 to 01/05

          > € 38,oo   from the 02/05 h. 6:45  to 8:00

The price includes: “race package” with race numbers, news, pasta party voucher, bottle of wine, integrators, Haiti artistic gift, borax. There are also few free (included in the price) services at disposal as medical assistance, mechanical assistance (excluding spare parts), massage, path refreshments, showers. Final refreshments and participation in the lottery of wonderful prizes.

 REPAYMENT SHARES ACCESSION: the fees are not refundable for any reason.  However, if the biker is unable to take part at the Haiti race he has an alternative: transfer of registration to another person. This transfer is possible making request no later than April 26th 2010.  The person entered in place must provide all personal and membership information. The biker can also transfer the registration to the next edition, communicating by fax or mail no later than April 29^th 2010.
Payment of the fee will not be refundable in case of cancellation of the event for reasons independent of the will of the organiser (example: natural disasters, revocation of administrative permits).

RACE NUMBERS AND “RACE PACKAGE” WITHDRAWAL: will be done at the Hospitality Village place in Piazza Indipendenza in Feletto Umberto (UD) (bikers must have the original receipt of payment).
- Saturday, May 1nd, from 10.00am to 19.00pm and Sunday, May 2rd from 6:45am to 8:00am.
IMPORTANT: the original member card (Udace, FCI or “council company”) or licence of Cicloturista must be showed at the withdrawal to the Udace judges who will verify its validity. The absence of this document CAN NOT BE   Replaced by AUTOCERTIFICAZIONE. (self-made certification). For teams, whose registration has be made cumulative by the Company, only one person has to go to the judges bench with the list of the company bikers and the original of  member cards and payment receipt.

 FRONTAL AND BACK RACE NUMBERS: please note that the race number is strictly personal and non-transferable.  Bikers that in any way will reduce, willcut and / or will hide any marks printed on race numbers will not receive any prize won even though it is a draw prize. Please compile carefully in all parts the back of back race. An exact indication of disease or intolerance will help doctors in case of problems.  An exact list of any other needed and first aid information will assist the Organizing Committee in the management of the emergency.

 GRIDS: As divided: the First grid is reserved to all women, guests of the organizing committee, the first 10 classified in the Haiti Granfondo2009, the first 10 classified in the Haiti Mediofondo 2009 (registred for 2010 edition), the first 3 of each category in the final classification of Alpe Adria circuit, the first 10 classified in a national or international Granfondo 2009. The first grid is guaranteed to all those bikers if registered by the deadline. The Second Grid is reserved to all Alpe Adria circuit members. The Third Grid will take into account only the date of registration. The Fourth Grid is reserved to Cicloturisti (only Mediofondo).

 GRID ADMITTANCE: from 8:00am to 8:50am (after this time laggards will start in the fourth grid). The asd Chiarcosso reserves the right to disqualify anyone who will not start from the reserved grid for his number and anyone who does not follow the grid workers instructions.

DEPARTURE: At 9.00am from Piazza IV Novembre in Feletto Umberto (UD).

 TIMING WINNING TIME: The measurement of time and the development of classifications by the Winning Time team are based on a chip that each biker has to set at the ankle through the appropriate strip in velcro. .Bikers who will forget to wear the chip will not be timed and will not be classified. Bikers who is not yet in possession of chip can buy it directly from the WT Chip Point in the area of race number and “race package” withdrawal. The chip is immediately active and valid forever on all events timed by Winning Time team in the world.

TIME DEADLINE: 16:00pm for Granfondo;  14.00pm for the Mediofondo.

GATES TIMES: There are two closing gates whose location will be announced and communicated to bikers before departure.

 AFTER THE GRANFONDO:  Requests for any changes and / or additions in the classifications will be accepted until May 6th 2010, at the e-mail info@corsaperhaiti.com or fax +39 0432 699706. After that date, the classifications will be definitive.

 HELMET: wearing of helmet is requested.

 VEHICLES TO FOLLOW: No type of vehicle (scooters, motorcycles, cars etc..) is allowed to follow bikers. Immediate exclusion from the event is the penalty.

 MECHANIC ASSISTANCE: Any assistance make by private, following the race or simply on board of the road (not prepared by the Organising Committee) is strictly prohibited.

HEALTH SERVICE: First Aid will be on the path and at departure and arrival points. No responsibility on the Organizing Committee.

THE TRAFFIC ROAD: The vehicular traffic during the event is open and therefore there must be absolute compliance of the Code. The Organization disclaims any responsibility for events occurred before, during and after the event involving bikers themselves and with third parties. Udace regulation is valid for all things not specified in this regulation.

CONTROLS: WT controls will be set up without prenotifiation. Passing trought these controls is required to be classified. The lack of even a single transit / relief will occur the exclusion from the classifiation.

OFFICIAL CLASSIFICATIONS: The absolute male and female classifiation of the two paths will be made. Unofficial classification will be drawn by Udace category for the two paths.

 SCORES: For each category from 1° to 10 ° classified will be assigned points to climb from 10 to 1. The sum of the bikers scores that belong to a company will determine the classificarion for companies. For this ranking will not be considered the scores acquired by Debuttanti (this score is used for  "Combined 2010" only).

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS:  Haiti artistic objects and possibly of food prizes for the first 10 classified of each category of the Granfondo and of the Mediofondo and for the first 5 companies graded, the absolute winners of two paths will wear the mesh of 18 ^ Haiti Race.

SOCIETY AWARDS:  Will be drawn two classifications: 1) award to the first 3 companies with the highest number of members (cumulative registration) and 2) award to the first 3 companies with the highest score calculated by adding the points won by bikers classified in two paths (for logistical reasons these awards will be shipped directly to the company's head office after the race).
For Societies Sports wishing to participate in the final ranking "highest number of members" should make registration in a single solution.

VARIATIONS: This Regulation could be changed by the Organizing Committee for reasons it deems necessary for the best success of the event or for reasons of force majeure.

DISQUALIFICATIONS: would be penalised by disqualification from the event: who will run with another race number, who will supply the back number to others or other serious matter that will be detected,  It appeals to the sense of civic participants in order not to lay waste along the roads, but put them in special containers placed in refreshment points.

RIGHT OF PICTURE: With signing the registration form, the competitor expressly authorizes the organisers to use free images, fixed and / or in motion, that showed him during his participation in the Haiti race.  The organizers will give in to its institutional and commercial patners rights of use free images under this Agreement. This authorization to use its imagewill not have any time limit, in compliance with the laws, regulations and treaties in force and without territorial limits worldwide, for use in various publications and movies including promotional materials and / or advertising and implemented on all media.

COMPLAINTS: Any complaints must prevent to the jury in regulation terms with the registration fee.

WEB SITE: Official newsletter of the event is the website. Therefore, all official communications and any registration news will be available on the site.

CAUTION:  I declare that I know and respect the rules of the event and regulations UDACE force and I am 18 years old at the day of Granfondo. I know that I can not enter the event unless they are physically fit and properly trained.  I'm joining voluntarily and I take all the risks arising from my participation at: falls, contact with the vehicle, with other participants, spectators or otherwise; including extreme cold and / or humid, traffic and road condition.  Being aware of the above, considering the acceptance of my entry, I, on behalf of myself and in any other, I rise and free the Organizing Committee of the event, the GM Sport, the bodies promoters, all our sponsors and sponsors of the event, of all present and future claims or liability of any kind, known or unknown, arising from my participation in the event.  I also confirm that I am aware that was not signed by any insurance policy that will pay back bikers of any kind of accidental injuries occurring during the event, therefore, are to be borne by each athlete, all expenses resulting from this.  Under Article 13 of DLvo June 30, 2003, informing No. 196: a) that the data contained in the enrollment form are required for registration, in order to prepare the list of participants, the standings, the historical archive , To carry out the services in the Regulation and for sending information material of Race Haiti or its partners b) the consequences of failing to provide data or information referred to above consist of the non-admission to the event c) that the rights of the person concerned in regard to the processing of personal data are listed in Article 7 of that DLvo No 196/03”. 196/03.  At any moment he could see, modify, delete their data for free by writing to the controller of personal data at the asd Chiarcosso.
